Submitting Art
We Love New Art...
New talent is out there and we know it. We are always on the lookout for new artists with new styles —whatever their medium. With the ever changing market we work in, we are always looking to expand our group of artists.
Show Us Your Stuff...
What we prefer are quality laser proofs. What we will accept are slides, transparencies, jpgs or photos as well as website information. We see a lot of art and in order for art to be reviewed we need something physical to pass around in our review meetings. Please DO NOT send originals unless requested.
If you would like a written response or to have your presentation sent back to you, please include a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope or package. Any presentation without it will NOT be returned. Once received, our art development team reviews submissions for print and licensing potential.
What to Expect...
All submissions are reviewed by our team about once a month, but things are busy and sometimes our reviews don't happen that often. Please understand it will probably take some time before you will hear anything. Regrettably, not all artwork meets our current needs. Don't be offended, there are so many reasons why art may be rejected. Some reasons may be that we may already have an artist with that style, a style of art does not fit in with the type of buyers we have, a style may not sell well historically for us. Sometimes it's just not right for us. We have found that some artists will always do better as gallery painters. Sometimes the art is exactly what we are looking for! We also do not only look at art for publishing, but also for its licensing potential.
The Next Step...
If we determine we are interested in your work, we will ask to see your originals or high res files. At this point we will need to have a phone conversation to ask questions, as well as answer them, and to explain how we work. A contract can be discussed then as well.
We Really Appreciate you...
Thank you for considering us as your publisher / licensing representative. We are committed to producing beautiful art and staying in touch with the market place and all its changing needs. We find that a good attitude and a fast pace help make the ride a bit smoother.
